Der Dr. Andreas Dombret-Promotionspreis der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Münster wird von der Dr. Andreas Dombret-Stiftung finanziert, einem Stiftungsfonds unter dem Dach der Universitätsstiftung Münster. Der Preis ist mit 2.000,- Euro dotiert. Er wird einmal im Studienjahr für jene Dissertation vergeben, in der die Verbindung von theoretischem Wissen und konkreter Anwendung in der wirtschaftlichen und wirtschaftspolitischen Praxis in herausragender Weise gelingt. Voraussetzung ist die Bewertung einer an der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Münster angenommenen Dissertation mit „summa cum laude“. Die Auswahl der Preisträger obliegt der Fakultät und wird in enger Abstimmung mit Prof. Dr. Dombret vorgenommen.
