The Center for Multiscale Theory and Computation (CMTC) was founded in spring 2013 as an association of work groups from chemistry, physics and related research areas. All these groups are working on the theoretical description and computer simulation of molecular, makro-molecular and bio-molekular systems as well as condensed matter. With this pooling of know-how a closer cooperation between the theory groups as well as between theoretical and experminetal groups is achieved. As a result the position of Münster on the map of theoretical research isstressed and a contact point for interested students and junior research groups as well as cooperation partners is created.
