The Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine (IMM) was established in 2009 as part of the establishment of the Center for Musculoskeletal Medicine in order to combine and strengthen resources in the field of bone and joint disease research in Münster. In close cooperation with various clinical institutions including the Center for Musculoskeletal Medicine, we focus on mechanisms that lead to inflammatory, degenerative and malignant diseases of the musculoskeletal system or determine the regenerative capacity of joints and bones after injury and in old age. On the following pages we give an overview of the research topics we are working on in our projects.
