Nicht-wissenschaftlicher Beitrag (Zeitschrift)

Zusammenfassung

Surc (English: Surel), a Tibeto-Burman language spoken in the village of Surī in the district of Dolakhā in eastern Nepal, shows interesting similarities and dissimilarities with Koĩc (English: Sunwar), a related Tibeto-Burman language. Nowadays Surc has no more than 25 speakers. The ancestors of the Surel probably left about a hundred years ago a Koĩc village, moved to the north-west and settled 50 kilometres away from their former home. The article discusses the linguistic relationship between Surc and Koĩc.
