Zusammenfassung

This work presents results on processing of a high-entropy Cantor alloy (CoCrFeNiMn) to develop an ultrafine grained multilayered laminate using the accumulative roll bonding (ARB) method. ARB was performed up to 3 cycles to study the mutlilayers’ microstructural and texture evolution. The microstructure of the multilayer laminate resembles single-phase bonded laminate with ultrafine grains and nano twins. Microstructure revealed that the multilayer exhibits continuous dynamic recrystallization (cDRX). Texture evolution starts from the development of Goss component (for 1st cycle) accompanied by the decrease in the intensity of the Brass component (which was present in starting material). The origin of the Goss texture can be attributed to the refinement of grains during ARB. With further processing up to three cycles of ARB, the rotated Goss (RtG) texture appears as the predominant component.
